While the Task Force of Upstream Oil and Gas (SK Gas) states of 47 field development plan (Plan of Development / PoD) approved during 2012, largely contributed by PT Pertamina EP.
Deputy Planning SK Gas Widhyawan Prawiraatmaja said Pertamina EP is the most widely proposed contractor with number 26 PoD. This is in line with the efforts of Pertamina EP to increase national production from the field in Sumatra and Java.
Besides Pertamina EP also trying to increase the reserves of the field are already mature through advanced methods of oil removal (enhanced oil recovery / EOR) with water floodling Square Gutter and Buts Jimar East.
"Then, the rejuvenation effort production facilities were also performed on Field Beringin, Prabumulih and wasps Paluh East aimed at optimizing the production," he said.
He argued recently Pertamina EP also secured new oil reserves in the Fields Sangatta, East Kalimantan and is expected to be a moment of awakening increased production in the Field Sangatta that was already quite old.
"The discovery of these reserves as evidenced by the successful application of the concept of Oil Pool Enlargement".
According to him, Tapah-1 exploration well in the Field Sangatta, East Kalimantan through a number of oil producing 1,000 barrels a day (bpd). Field Sangatta is an old Dutch heritage field developed by Pertamina since 1974 and still in production today.
